Joelistics Announces Blue Volume Tour

One of Australia’s most charismatic showmen hits the road to mark the release of his most compelling and personal record to date, Blue Volume.

Rolling Stone have called Joelistics’ album “a celebration and mourning of the current state of the world, voiced by a smart, incisive writer.” The Sydney Morning Herald have hailed him as “an exceptional storyteller” for delivering “a personal, lyrically intelligent album with an intense emotional rawness and vulnerability”. We just think he’s dope.

There’s always an uplifting feature to be found in the honest and rebellious music Joelistics creates. The song and video for recent single ‘Say I’m Good’ perfectly captures the frustrating absurdity of public and personal politics while his turn of phrase in songs like ‘Out of the Blue’ create an absorbing scene without visuals. As if the opposite of a silent film.

With his fluent stagecraft, Joelistics is one of those rare beasts whose easy disposition magnetises the audience. Fresh off the back of their joint collaborative show to a sold out Darwin Festival crowd, Joelistics will be joined by Sietta as main support and guests on stage each night. Their second album The Invisible River was released earlier this year to great acclaim, and their sophisticated alt-soul and electric live performances must be seen to fully appreciate. Also joining the tour is the creative left field rapper and triple j Unearthed winner Mathas from Perth.
