Situated on the gorgeous beach Zrće on Island Of Pag, Fresh Island offers Hip Hop fans, festival goers and sun-worshipers something out of the ordinary: intimate surroundings where they can see the hottest names in Hip Hop perform for them.

Now in it’s second year, Fresh Island looks to join the heavyweight ranks of the European festival circuit, having already showed many its potential for hot parties and amazing performances, this year is looking to be no exception. 2013 boasts beach parties, pool parties and many more in a setting that would put even the hottest beach clubs of the world to shame – and with a host of other huge names set to join the bill its shaping up to be the go-to-place this summer.
The Frontier Touring Company and Illusive are excited to announce iconic hip-hop trio Bliss N Eso’s highly-anticipated return to the touring circuit this July with their House of Dreams tour. This tour announcement comes off the back of the release of Home Is Where The Heart Is - the first official single from their upcoming new album Circus In The Sky.
The six-date tour will cover all mainland capital cities in the band’s first headline tour since 2011 when they embarked on the highest-selling tour by an Australian hip-hop act. This is the first chance fans will get to experience the tracks from Circus In The Sky in the flesh, alongside the cult classics from their back catalogue. Bliss N Eso will be joined by two very special guests – Alabama’s rising star Yelawolf and local superstar Pez.
Since signing to Eminem’s Shady Records in 2011, Yelawolf has become one of the world’s most hyped emerging rap artists. In the years since, he’s released his critically acclaimed debut album Trunk Muzik and featured on tracks alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Big Boi, A$AP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T. and Travis Barker just to name a few.
Melbourne’s Pez made his welcome return to the spotlight in recent months with the release of his latest single The Game and is tipped for an enormous 2013. Bliss N Eso have also confirmed the release date for their upcoming new album Circus In The Sky as Friday 28 June 2013. It follows on from 2010’s hugely acclaimed Running On Air which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and achieved platinum sales.
Solidifying their reputation as artists that love to pack as much value as possible into each release, they’ve delivered another 17-track epic with a running time of an hour. As rumoured, it features a guest appearance from New York hip-hop icon Nas on I Am Somebody – arguably their biggest feature to date. Further down the tracklisting are appearances from nomadic Melbourne soul export Daniel Merriweather on Can’t Get Rid of This Feeling and rising American singer-songwriter Ceekay Jones, whom the boys befriended on their most recent US headline tour. Possibly the most interesting inclusion on the tracklist comes via posse cut Reservoir Dogs, which features a who’s who of contemporary local hip-hop – seeing them joined by 360, Pez, Seth Sentry and Drapht.
The mysterious winged character that has inhabited the band’s two previous album covers has made its third appearance on the newly revealed ‘Circus in the Sky’ artwork, albeit in an unexpected form. Following from Steve Cross’ illustrated covers on Flying Colours and Running On Air, the band have teamed up with world-renowned digital artist Justin Maller to create a spectacularly vivid piece which sees the character looking towards Earth from afar. Justin is a Melburnian living in New York who has worked with the likes of Nike, Coca-Cola and the Grammys.
Circus In The Sky is now available for pre-orderr. There are a half a dozen pre-order options which include a digital version (including instant Home Is Where The Heart Is single download); signed CDs accompanied by t-shirts, iPhone covers and stubby holders alongside bundled packs including the album and House Of Dreams Tour tickets.
Circus In The Sky drops June 28, through Illusive.

The 7″ features album tracks Death From Above featuring Tomorrow and Realizm (produced by Realizm) on the A Side, and Rise and Fall In HD (The Undead) featuring DJ Snair (produced by Mat Rafle) on the flip.
The 7″ release is pressed on clear vinyl with colour poster wrap and cardboard sleeve and was available at the Taylor Made Tactix, Matchless Gift and Everyday triple launch held on Saturday May 18. In the wake of his first release in 2012 Occupy All Beats with brother Tomorrow, Everyday returned quick with his follow up solo LP Equality. WIth the lead single and video Til Lamb Become Lion produced by Realizm setting the tone, Everyday is already back with the 7″ featuring two of his favourite joints from the album.
Everyday is an Adelaide MC with a passion for music across the board. Shedding light on the big issues and current state of affairs he naturally gravitates towards positive subject matter. As the name suggests Equality is an album that promotes equal rights, Indigenous parity, and unification whilst exposing political agendas, conspiracies and power tactics.
Close to home and not afraid to speak the truth, Equality offers a diverse selection of cinematic hard-hitting beats with Everyday spitting topic driven raps reminding us of the importance of equality, everyday. Hailing from the sleepy Queensland capital city known as Boomtown, Dwizofoz has been around for more than a minute now. A big man with a big presence. At 26, Dwizofoz is a young leader in Brisbane hip hop who has earnt a reputation as an animal on the mic with his unique rapid fire flow delivery, honest and clever yet hard hitting and thought out lyrics and an undeniable passion for what he does.
The long awaited follow up to his Baked Not Fried EP (released 2009) is Art Intimidates Life. A collection of tracks that serves as an audiobiography of sorts, this album takes listeners on a journey to get to know who Dwizofoz is as a person, a father and as an emcee. Kicking off the album in a big way is In My Shoes a tale of how Dwiz used to have to make ends meet for himself at a young age growing up in housing commission communities. Other notable standouts on the album are Take What’s Mine and title track Art Intimidates Life feat. DJ Dcide, which represent Dwiz’s mission statement, that he’s in it for the long haul and isn’t going away any time soon.
Style with Bias B is a powerful example of Dwizofoz’s explosive way with words, and stands to cement Dwiz’s place as one of the best, if not at least most unique lyricists in the country. Dwiz also switches up the tone on the album with tracks like The Wrong One feat. Mr Hill, a track dedicated to scandalous bitches everywhere, Can Happen To You a short, inspired by a true story tale clearly close to Dwiz’s own heart and Her Letter a song written for his daughter over a spine tingling Mdusu instrumental.
With this album, Dwizofoz is sure to break free of the “battle host” tag he’s probably best known for and secure himself a reputation as a leader among the next generation of emcee’s coming out of our shores.

Growing up in a family of musicians Bitter Belief was constantly surrounded by the sounds of his cousins and uncles jamming. At the time never taking an interest in any of the instruments he found more enjoyment in just sitting, watching and soaking it all in.
Bitter Belief then began writing poems at the young age of 14 but with his growing love for hip hop by the time he was 15 that love for writing had transcended into rhymes/raps.
Influenced by the likes of Nas, 2pac, NWA and other rappers Bitter then discovered his passion for the music and using the most basic and cheap equipment he would then record and write as much as he possibly could over the next few years. After being heard by an independent record label he was then signed at the age of 17 where he released an EP and later left to recreate his style and start from scratch.
Since that day Bitter has released over 10 mixtapes that were distributed by himself locally and then followed up by his debut album Isolation. Since Isolation Bitter has been lucky enough to tour the country with Drapht and his band on more than one occasion and along the way has learned enough to develop into the MC he is today.
Bitter Belief was then honored to be asked and accepted into the WA family/crew Syllabolix! In early 2012 Bitter B dropped a mixtape titled The Tour Guide Mixtape which was the lead up to his upcoming album May 2013 release The Gallery which features the likes of The Tongue, Purpose, Briggs, Hau, Creed Birch, Mr Grevis other SBX members and more! On the Production is mainly Creed Birch, with M-Phazes, Cam Bluff and Rob Shaker, Rob also handles all the cuts on the album and did all the mixing and mastering. Look for The Gallery it drops at the end of the month.

ChittyBang Touring and Get Busy Productions are thrilled to announce one of the hottest independent rappers of 2013, Dizzy Wright, along with his Funk Volume label mates Jarren Benton and DJ Hoppa on their Funk Volume Australian & NZ Tour.
Created by Hopsin, Funk Volume is an independent powerhouse in the Hip Hop industry, giving rappers a home to freely express themselves without the control of a major label. The Funk Volume movement saw Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton and SwizZz tour Australia in late 2012, which had them playing to sold out crowds across the country. The Funk Volume Tour takes the crew to Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Gold Coast, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Starring on the cover of XXL Magazine as one of the 2013 Freshman Class due to getting the “People’s Choice” vote, Dizzy Wright has been steadily building a buzz for the last few years. The Las Vegas native is one of the standout new MC’s, ushering in an era of lyrical excellence and creating a movement out of a city known mostly for its gambling. Beyond his years at 22, Dizzy has been one of the first Sin City rappers to grab the spotlight and carry it across the globe. With a similar story to his inspiration Tupac Shakur, Dizzy took to local clubs to build a network and fan-base, and caught the attention of Hopsin who signed him to Funk Volume in November 2011.
Dizzy Wright became an independent charting sensation with three 2012 releases, SmokeOut Conversations (along with the 200,000 times downloaded promotional mixtape), as well as a follow-up EP, The First Agreement. In turn, the youngest member of Funk Volume has been one of the most active. In March this year, Dizzy released a track entitled Maintain featuring fellow XXL Freshman Joey Bada$$. He followed this up with Still Movin and Killem Wit Kindness. These songs are all scheduled to appear on his upcoming mixtape.
Georgia native Jarren Benton, has been honing his craft for over 10 years and is the latest signing to Funk Volume. With hilarious punchlines and often deranged versus, his last album Freebasing With Kevin Bacon lived up to its name, at least in attitude and style, evident on the cult single Skitzo. This type of authenticity, balanced with intricate, golden ear-informed lyricism has attracted attention from Erick Sermon (EPMD, Redman) to No I.D. (Common, Kanye West) in courting Jarren to potential major label deals. However for the father and family provider, only indie juggernaut Funk Volume really voiced his biggest concerns. “All I was asking for was progress. I just wanted to know that what I was doing was the right move – especially chasing a dream with a family.” Funk Volume offered what Def Jam and the others weren’t – and in recent years, he has been able to support his family and his dreams simultaneously.
After two successful digital releases and a video fast-approaching 1.2 million YouTube plays, Jarren is hard at work on what will inevitably be his biggest album to date. Following the star-filled supporting cast of Freebasing With Kevin Bacon and Huffin’ Glue With Hasselhoff, the comedic emcee promises to break from the series with a purpose in mind – the album will feature a lot more personal material so people can learn who Jarren is. The highly anticipated album My Grandmas Basement will be dropping on June 12th of this year.
Tickets are on sale now.

Palace is the culmination of love for music, style and hard work. A melting pot of musicality and emotion, Palace marks a new beginning of sorts for a heavily slept on duo, Droopy & Mosé, whom are poised to jumpstart the renewal of a heavily slept on scene.
Always a beautiful partnership when the two join forces, Palace constitutes a brief, but powerful three-track release, which covers all bases, and keeps the listener craving for more. Hard hitting beats, laced with expressive, soulful chords, layered with thought-provoking yet beautiful lyricism. Palace does not aim to be the new-release, up-to-date, progressive hype music that is commonly heard nowadays.
All we want to do is combine our love of hip-hop with some classic flows, leaving the listener with something destined for the repeat button.
Tranquil Artillery Original, DownPat unleashes his first solo EP Hard Evidence upon the masses, after 10 years of solid under-groundwork building skills and rocking stages from the Hills to the Mountains & everywhere in-between.
The 7 track release features that signature Pang Production from Must Volkoff plus a bit of Philli flavour from another TA Original Breez, with all cuts handled by the one & only DJ Rellik. With an honest outlook and obvious talent DownPat attacks tracks with a raw hunger & flow to match gliding over fitting production. Featuring guestspots from his Rawthentic fam P.Link & J.Mac. Hard Evidence is exactly that, see for yourself.
