Sixty has had an incredible 12 month period in Australia which has seen him collect a swag of achievements including the ARIA award for Breakthrough Artist, a close to double platinum selling album for Falling & Flying, 4 x platinum selling single Boys Like You, platinum selling singles Child & Run Alone and gold selling singles Killer & Just Got Started.
After such a mammoth year you’d be forgiven for thinking that it was time for our mate Six to take a break, but surely by now you know this it not at all how he rolls. In true 360 style the Melbourne based rapper has set his sights firmly on breaking into the US and Canadian markets with the announcement earlier this year of his first trip over to the USA to play at the infamous SXSW Music Conference.
Today we are stoked to announce the first in a string of US show dates for 360 in 2013. First up, Sixty will hit the big apple and play his first ever show in New York City at the Santos Party House on Monday March 18, Six will then head to LA to play the iconic Viper Room in West Hollywood on Saturday March 23. It’s true, Six has been locked down in the studio working on new material for the past couple of months and we’ll have plenty of announcements coming your way regarding this real soon, stay tuned!
Pez is not like other hip-hop artists. With his laid-back nature and ever-present smile, the Melburnian instantly distinguishes himself from others of the genre with his lack of pretence and genuine demeanour. But once his music – rich with soul-searching honesty, gritty melody and traditional hip-hop ethics – is heard, the distinction is even clearer.
Pez rose from obscurity late in 2008 with his debut single The Festival Song. This ode to the Aussie summer music festival was ubiquitous across Australian radio all summer, achieving constant rotation on triple j and Nova and charting prominently on the Austereo Hot 30 Countdown. In early 2009 The Festival Song reached an unprecedented #7 in triple j Hottest 100 – the highest placing hip-hop track on the countdown, and the strongest showing by any independent artist.
After racking up accolades throughout early 2009 – gaining heavy triple j rotation with the frenetic Ain’t Got Time, launching a popular music video for The Festival Song; reaching #1 on the AIR singles chart and hitting #11 on the ARIA Urban singles chart; and selling out iconic Melbourne rock venue The Hi-Fi – Pez hit the road for his first national tour with Drapht and Downsyde. This 18-date tour was swiftly followed up with festival dates, high-profile support slots for The Streets and Lupe Fiasco, and high praise from media outlets as diverse as MTV, Channel 9 and FHM before culminating in a national sold-out tour with Aussie hip-hop icons Bliss N Eso.
Pez then cemented his reputation as one of Australia’s premier live hip-hop acts in the last half of 2009, playing to packed houses in more than 30 locations across the country on his first national headlining tour.
After a massive year, 2010 has seen Pez hard at work on his sophomore release, crafting an album that stays true to his distinct style but still effortlessly captures the ear of many, striking a chord beyond the hip-hop terrain. Pez’s second album is due for release in early 2013 through EMI / Soulmate Records. Pez’s first single from his upcoming album is titled The Game, and is available on iTunes now.
The last two months have been momentous for the Adelaide MC and Producer Koolta. In July, he released the eagerly anticipated debut album The Extraordinary Average Joe (Obese Distribution), sold out his Adelaide album launch, and won over a crowd of 6000+ when opening for the Hilltop Hoods at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
In August, he was announced one of the winners of the JJJ Unearthed Parklife Competition and the MRC’s (Media Resource Centre of SA) Clip It! Initiative. And now, the beginning of September marks the release of the impressive new single, Poison. Musically, the song is incredibly catchy, with it’s double time hook, punchy drums, hard bass, crunchy synth and driving keys.
Lyrically, it’s intriguingly dark. It’s this juxtaposition that makes Poison so compelling. Poison features Soulmate Records’ (360, Pez)Prime. 360 has continued to make waves over the past month. A really positive and successful trip to the UK to commence writing for his next album also saw his first ever UK show in London; a sold out one at that. Sixty’s prolific Tweeting throughout the trip revealed some exciting collaborations are in the works for album #3.
Upon his return Sixty took off on the regional Groovin’ the Moo festival tour and has been smashing them so far. Bendigo, Townsville, Maitland and Canberra all yielded bouncing, absolutely jam packed tents and wild audience responses. The audience’s cheers in Maitland reached 119dB (that’s louder than the PA folks!). Bunbury this weekend followed by Darwin then right out on the essentially sold out 17 date national Flying Tour, which kicks off with triple j’s One Night Stand in Dalby at the start of June.
Demand for tickets on The Flying Tour has seen almost every show sell out lightening fast. The Come Together festival sold out in a matter of days and a second 18+ Sydney show at the Metro also sold out quickly. Now, less than a month out from the first date of 360’s June Flying Tour unprecedented demand for tickets has forced the upgrade of the Wollongong Waves venue. The Wollongong show, which will take place on Friday June 9, will now be upgraded to the largest venue within the Waves Nightclub complex at the Towradgi Beach Hotel. The extra tickets go on sale Thu May 24.
The current single to be unleashed from the multi-platinum Falling & Flying album is Child. The tune has hit gold status and scored day adds with a swag of the Nova stations. Hopefully there’s more where that came from.
As of yesterday there is exactly one month until Melbourne rapper 360 kicks off his highly anticipated and much hyped Flying Tour. This morning also heralds the news that Six’s second Sydney date, the Metro on Friday June 29 has completley sold out.
Sydneysiders can simply still not get enough of the man, his original Sydney tour date at the Come Together Festival sold out within 24 hours of going on sale forcing the announcement of the Metro show which has now sold out a whole month before the tour even kicks off.
It’s not just the Metro that has sold out this morning, Sixty’s second under 18’s gig at Perth’s Astor Theatre has now also completley sold out leaving only limited tickets to the final Villa show on sale for Perth locals to get their hands on. This leaves only four shows out of the 17 date national tour still on sale. Tickets for Melbourne, Brisbane, Frankston and Perth are now extremely limited with The Flying Tour headed towards being completley sold out in the next few days. This week will also see views of 360’s YouTube channel reach over 9 million in total, with his album Falling & Flying surging back into the top ten album charts on iTunes.

With a practically sold out national tour under his belt Six hit the road over the weekend as the mostly sold out Groovin’ The Moo festivals kicked off. Marked as the festival show stopper Sixty graced the front cover of the Townsville Bulletin on Monday in the aftermath of his outstanding performance the day before. Noted as having the largest crowds of the festival so far 360 treated punters at Bendigo and Townsville to electrifying performances that his army around the country screaming for the festival to roll into their town so they can get a taste of the man they call Six.
The whirlwind doesn’t stop there; only days before heading off on Groovin’ The Moo Sixty jetted back into Australia after spending two weeks in the UK. Six spent his time abroad meeting with producers and commencing work on his new album. He also played his very first UK show at Camden’s Barfly to a sold out crowd filled with his UK army.
All that is left to say is that if you were planning on catching 360 on his upcoming Flying Tour you better grab your tickets stat, as by the end of the week they’ll all be gone!

360 – The Melbourne rapper that everybody can’t seem to get enough of! He’s already completely sold out 11 of the 15 dates on his much anticipated June Flying Tour including Sydney’s Come Together Festival at Luna Park, but it seems that even that is not enough to satisfy his legions of devoted fans.
So once again to answer the manic screams and unprecedented demand to see the man live on stage 360 is adding two new dates to the already soaring Flying Tour. After the incredibly fast sell out of the Come Together Festival and Wollongong show a brand new Sydney date has been added to The Flying Tour. Sixty is set to bring his electrifying live show to The Metro on Friday June 29. Support duties for this additional show will be filled by Sydney duo Spit Syndicate and good mate Bam Bam. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday April 19 and are set to be hot property and sell out swiftly.
Perth will also receive an extra serving of 360 with the announcement of a fourth show to meet the unprecedented demands of the ever-hungry WA army. Sixty will play a second 18+ show at Villa in Perth on Saturday June 23, with tickets also on sale at 9am on Thursday April 19. Supports will remain the same as all other Flying tour dates with Hermitude and Bam Bam filling the highly coveted spots. The Flying Tour has now extended into a 17 Date National Tour with second and final show dates announced in all states and only a handful of tickets left up for grabs for selected shows.
There are certainly no signs of our mate Six slowing up anytime soon, the man is now headed off to the UK in late April where he will meet with producers and commence writing for his third album. While he is across the pond Sixty will also be playing his first ever UK show for local fans and industry alike. Right, let’s just get this straight, your mate 360 is here and he ain’t going away any time soon! It hasn’t been long since the tickets for the highly demanded Flying Tour went on sale. Shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Frankston, Adelaide, and Perth have completely sold out with second and final show dates announced in all cities to meet the screams of Sixty’s devoted army that are covering his Facebook wall.
Queensland was the first state to show it’s hunger for Uncle Six, with the under 18’s show selling out within minuets of going on sale. The 18+ gig at Brisbane’s HiFi Bar then followed suit selling out within an hour of tickets being available. A second Brisbane 18+ date has now been announced for Monday 11th of June at the HiFi to meet the needs of Sixty’s Queensland based devotees.
Adelaide’s all ages show at The Gov was the next to put up the sold out sign, tickets here were all but gone within two hours of hitting the streets. A second and final show went on sale and is also now sold out. Sixty’s home town of Melbourne then came to the party with the 18+ show at the HiFi Bar done and sold by early afternoon, a second date has also been announced here for Thursday 14th of June. Overnight tickets to Melbourne, Frankston, Wollongong and Perthshows were snapped up and sold out. Once again Sixty has answered the cries for more shows putting on a second and final under 18’s show on Sunday 24th of June at the Astor Theatre in Perth.
The heat around Melbourne rapper 360 is absolutely undeniable at the moment. Is there anything that Sixty can’t do? His juggernaut continues to roll on into 2012 with album Falling & Flying reaching certified Platinum sales status and current single Boys Like You feat. Gossling achieving double platinum status within the space of a week.
The album itself has remained in the ARIA top 50 charts for a massive 23 weeks and has been sitting pretty in the top 10 for the last seven weeks, currently holding strong at #6. Equally as impressive single Boys Like You has spent 10 weeks in the ARIA top 50 singles charts – the last six weeks in the top 10, currently sitting at #5.
It’s onwards and upwards for 360, who knows what else 2012 has in store for the man. One thing we can say for sure is that if you haven’t already seen the electric live stage performance this guy puts on then you better run out and grab tickets while you still can.

After an amazing response at selected shows on the most recent tour, special guest Gossling will be joining the entire run for The Flying Tour singing her part the summer smash hit Boys Like You.
Also joining the tour will be Hermitude and Bam Bam. Hermitude’s fourth album, HyperParadise has just dropped featuring slamming single Get In My Life and dance floor gem Speak Of The Devil. The infectious clip for Speak of the Devil scored them the 2011 Triple J Award for Australian Music Video of the Year and was also nominated in the Best Song & Best Screen categories of the FBi Radio SMAC Awards.Bam Bam released his first mix tape Straight Outta Bedrock in November last year. The 360 mash up of Skrillex’s Died This Way featuring Bam Bam clocked up 10,000 in its first day of release and is now sitting at over half a million hits, making it the most viewed 360 track on YouTube after Boys Like You.
The Flying Tour will also see 360 headline the massive annual Come Together festival in his only Sydney date. The bumper bill also includes Horrorshow, Hermitude, Seth Sentry, Koolism, Thundamentals, Skryptcha, Purpose and Bam Bam. It has been a huge 2011 for 360. Not only did he release his album Falling & Flying in September but it hasn’t left the ARIA Top 50 since release. Falling & Flying peaked at No.1 on the iTunes album chart and No.1 on the official ARIA Top 40 Urban Album Chart plus No.4 on the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart on release.
360 also embarked on his national Falling & Flying tour throughout October/November, he played Sydney’s Homebake festival, Falls Festival, picked up the Most Hunted Award at this year’s Jagermeister Independent Music Awards and helped create, what will be the first Australian Facebook fan generated music video for his current single Boys Like You (feat. Gossling).
Voted by the Australian public, 360 proudly took out the annual Channel [V] Oz Artist 2011 award, beating Guy Sebastian, New Empire and Short Stack. Stoked with the win, he had this to share with Channel [V], “Told you I’d f**kin’ win ay silly f**kers. Nah, but thanks very much to my loyal fans. Sorry shirtstack and their fans.” In the lead up to Falling & Flying, 360 released the Stand The Fuck Up Mixtape, which featured a variety artists from around the country over familiar beats.
360 released 3 film clips from his Falling & Flying release including Killer, Jost Got Started feat. Pez and more recently Boys Like You feat. Gossling, which featured a cameo from Ruby Rose. Triple J featured Falling & Flying as their feature album of the week, which was followed by 360 performing on Triple J’s Like A Version with a great cover of Regurgitator’s – The Song Formerly Known As.
Fans were treated with another release in the form of the Killer EP, which featured remixes of the track Killer from Dr Don-Don, 12th Planet, Los Maddens & Redial. Out of the studio, 360 used 2011 to tear up the battle scene with several high profile battles including the massive 360 Vs. Kerser (Grind Time Now Australia) showdown.
Both the Falling & Flying LP and single Boys Like You recently went Gold topping off an amazing year for 360. Expect a mammoth 2012 for 360 as he prepares for his Boys Like You national tour throughout February/March.
2011 was a spectacular year forPrime. Good Morning, call it a mixtape if you dare, was released with a collection of all-original material (save for three beats) but was crafted and structured as lovingly as any album in your collection. The fact that it was made available for free download was simply a bonus.
Prime’s unprecedented approach to fan engagement in 2011 has been his success - his habit of giving away original, album-quality material to a burgeoning listener base via social media, one heartfelt, hard-hitting track at a time. Many of these tracks, like Devilish, have become the stuff of Internet legend; others, like Tunguska, have even gone on to national radio airplay. The Good Morning mixtape was released with an original piece of cover art for every track.
2011 saw a video clip released for the self-realisation anthem Restore My Faith, with Prime appearing on labelmate 360′s recent Falling & Flying tour.
Not content on just working on his own material, Prime teamed up with 360 for a track on his Stand The Fuck Up Mixtape and also with South Australian emcee/producer and Hilltop Hoods Initiative winner Koolta for the track on his The Forked RoadMixtape with DJ PT. 2012 is set to be Prime’s year we recommend you keep an eye out.
