Since its release Falling & Flying has remained in the ARIA top 50 album charts for a staggering 49 weeks, had six singles lifted from it, two of which reached Gold sales status (Killer and current single Run Alone), one which has reached Platinum sales status (Child) and of course smash hit single Boys Like You feat. Gossling which has now reached bona fied 4 x Platinum sales status.

Voting for the category is open now via the MTV EMA website here and closes Sunday October 14. 360 – Child Official Video

28 03 2012

Right, let’s just get this straight, your mate 360 is here and he ain’t going away any time soon! It hasn’t been long since the tickets for the highly demanded Flying Tour went on sale. Shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Frankston, Adelaide, and Perth have completely sold out with second and final show dates announced in all cities to meet the screams of Sixty’s devoted army that are covering his Facebook wall.

Queensland was the first state to show it’s hunger for Uncle Six, with the under 18’s show selling out within minuets of going on sale. The 18+ gig at Brisbane’s HiFi Bar then followed suit selling out within an hour of tickets being available. A second Brisbane 18+ date has now been announced for Monday 11th of June at the HiFi to meet the needs of Sixty’s Queensland based devotees.

Adelaide’s all ages show at The Gov was the next to put up the sold out sign, tickets here were all but gone within two hours of hitting the streets. A second and final show went on sale and is also now sold out. Sixty’s home town of Melbourne then came to the party with the 18+ show at the HiFi Bar done and sold by early afternoon, a second date has also been announced here for Thursday 14th of June. Overnight tickets to Melbourne, Frankston, Wollongong and Perthshows were snapped up and sold out. Once again Sixty has answered the cries for more shows putting on a second and final under 18’s show on Sunday 24th of June at the Astor Theatre in Perth.

The heat around Melbourne rapper 360 is absolutely undeniable at the moment. Is there anything that Sixty can’t do? His juggernaut continues to roll on into 2012 with album Falling & Flying reaching certified Platinum sales status and current single Boys Like You feat. Gossling achieving double platinum status within the space of a week.

The album itself has remained in the ARIA top 50 charts for a massive 23 weeks and has been sitting pretty in the top 10 for the last seven weeks, currently holding strong at #6. Equally as impressive single Boys Like You has spent 10 weeks in the ARIA top 50 singles charts – the last six weeks in the top 10, currently sitting at #5.

It’s onwards and upwards for 360, who knows what else 2012 has in store for the man. One thing we can say for sure is that if you haven’t already seen the electric live stage performance this guy puts on then you better run out and grab tickets while you still can.

Frankston tickets here.
Perth (Villa) tickets here.

360 – The Flying Tour

27 02 2012

Following unprecedented demand, a sold out national tour and chaotic scenes from in-store signings, 360 announces The Flying Tour featuring both 18+ and underage shows to cater for the entire army. Rather than taking Sixty’s stadium-sized album into stadiums, he’s rewarding followers by playing at venues that allow them to get up close and very personal with the man himself.

Falling & Flying is continuing to dominate, with current single Boys Like You achieving certified double platinum status and the album itself charging towards platinum sales. Boys Like You is sitting at #3 on the ARIA singles chart, having held in the Top 5 for the past 4 weeks. Falling & Flying moves into the #9 position this week, retaining a Top 10 spot for the last 6 weeks.

Uncle Six is giving his loyal fans first chance to nab tickets. Fans must join the 360 mailing list via 360music.com.au by midday on Friday March 09 to get pre-sale information. The pre-sale begins midday Saturday March 10. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9:00 am local time on Thursday March 15. After an amazing response at selected shows on the most recent tour, special guest Gossling will be joining the entire run for The Flying Tour singing her part the summer smash hit Boys Like You.

Also joining the tour will be Hermitude and Bam Bam. Hermitude’s fourth album, HyperParadise has just dropped featuring slamming single Get In My Life and dance floor gem Speak Of The Devil. The infectious clip for Speak of the Devil scored them the 2011 Triple J Award for Australian Music Video of the Year and was also nominated in the Best Song & Best Screen categories of the FBi Radio SMAC Awards. Bam Bam released his first mix tape Straight Outta Bedrock in November last year. The 360 mash up of Skrillex’s Died This Way featuring Bam Bam clocked up 10,000 in its first day of release and is now sitting at over half a million hits, making it the most viewed 360 track on YouTube after Boys Like You.

The Flying Tour will also see 360 headline the massive annual Come Together festival in his only Sydney date. The bumper bill also includes Horrorshow, Hermitude, Seth Sentry, Koolism, Thundamentals, Skryptcha, Purpose and Bam Bam. Pre-sale tickets for the festival will run from Midnight Friday March 09 to 5.00pm Sunday March 11. Keep your eyes on 360’s Facebook page for all the details.

360 2011 Wrap Up

12 01 2012

It has been a huge 2011 for 360. Not only did he release his album Falling & Flying in September but it hasn’t left the ARIA Top 50 since release. Falling & Flying peaked at No.1 on the iTunes album chart and No.1 on the official ARIA Top 40 Urban Album Chart plus No.4 on the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart on release.

360 also embarked on his national Falling & Flying tour throughout October/November, he played Sydney’s Homebake festival, Falls Festival, picked up the Most Hunted Award at this year’s Jagermeister Independent Music Awards and helped create, what will be the first Australian Facebook fan generated music video for his current single Boys Like You (feat. Gossling).

Voted by the Australian public, 360 proudly took out the annual Channel [V] Oz Artist 2011 award, beating Guy Sebastian, New Empire and Short Stack. Stoked with the win, he had this to share with Channel [V], “Told you I’d f**kin’ win ay silly f**kers. Nah, but thanks very much to my loyal fans. Sorry shirtstack and their fans.” In the lead up to Falling & Flying360 released the Stand The Fuck Up Mixtape, which featured a variety artists from around the country over familiar beats.

360 released 3 film clips from his Falling & Flying release including Killer, Jost Got Started feat. Pez and more recently Boys Like You feat. Gossling, which featured a cameo from Ruby Rose. Triple J featured Falling & Flying as their feature album of the week, which was followed by 360 performing on Triple J’s Like A Version with a great cover of Regurgitator’s – The Song Formerly Known As.

Fans were treated with another release in the form of the Killer EP, which featured remixes of the track Killer from Dr Don-Don, 12th Planet, Los Maddens & Redial. Out of the studio, 360 used 2011 to tear up the battle scene with several high profile battles including the massive 360 Vs. Kerser (Grind Time Now Australia)  showdown.

Both the Falling & Flying LP and single Boys Like You recently went Gold topping off an amazing year for 360. Expect a mammoth 2012 for 360 as he prepares for his Boys Like You national tour throughout February/March.

360 – Boys Like You feat. Gossling – Official Video

22 12 2011

Fresh off the back of his Boys Like You Tour comes the official video for Boys Like You. What happens when you put 360, Gossling and Ruby Rose together and make a film clip? It turns into a gritty daytime soap opera, which is exactly what’s happened in the video for Boys Like You.

Boys Like You is the latest lifted from Sixty’s latest record Falling & Flying and this is what he had to say about the tune. “Boys Like You is a song I wrote about my ex-girlfriend actually,. She cheated on me with one of my best mates. I was at a basketball game and then she called me up crying on the phone, right before my game. She was like, “I went home with Ben last night,” so that kinda just triggered this beast in me to not care about relationships anymore for about 2 years and set up some trust issues for me so I decided to write a song about it, for the girl that cheated on me!”

360’s Falling & Flying album landed at #4 in the ARIA Charts in September and has been entrenched in the Top 50 ever since. Boys Like You is the newest addictive cut from the record, parading an overcharged dub vibe tied up by a unique hook courtesy of indie-darling Gossling. This track is destined to define summer. 360 has changed the game and you can expect the 360 army to mobilise once more and help Six deliver something monumental on his Boys Like You Tour.

Boys Like You (Cam Bluff Official Remix)

30 11 2011

A member of Brisbane group Vegas Aces, Cam Bluff is no beginner when it comes to making bangers. Having already produced for Australian artists such as Spit Syndicate, The Tongue and The Optimen, his newest creation is his official remix of 360′s hit single Boys Like You.

aahh caught up with Cam Bluff to get his thoughts on the new remix. Check out what he had to say below:

After releasing the Vegas Aces track with Sixty (360) earlier on in the year, I was keen to work on some other things with him. I got handed the accapella for Boys Like You and was merly just going to muck around with the vocals. I just wanted to see if the track would actually work with a sequenced drum break compared to the original. After I had something solid I started to see that this was definatly going somewhere. I find now days when I’m working on a track i’ll often re-visit it and only then do I start to really open up and get creative. I’m honestly a fan of what Sixtys doing and can definatly say you will be seeing us working on more music together in the future“. – Cam Bluff

Flipping the track on it’s head, Cam’s remix takes the song in an almost eerie direction fusing deep synths and minimal drums to create a highly emotive version of 360′s tune.

360 – Falling & Flying (Fighting & Fucking) Interview

22 01 2011

aaahh: 2011 will see the release of Falling & Flying your sophomore full length album. What else is in store?
360: Take over Australia and the world on the musical tip. Also battle some of the worlds best and to sleep with Jenny Hendrix. With Falling & Flying I’ve got Styalz Fuego all over that shit, and a contribution from M-Phazes. Dropping first half 2011. Already a few sneak previews on http://www.facebook.com/3ree6ixty

aahh: The title for your next album ‘Falling and Flying’ was adapted from a previous lyric, what made you develop this idea in to a full album concept?
360: I really loved this lyric “even when im falling im flying” and I love that whole outlook on life, even when you fall you can fly too. My track “Miracle In A Costume” off Falling And Flying describes exactly what I mean by that concept. It’s just me making honest music I guess. I dig pretty deep on some issues also have some fuck around fun shit as well, but most of it is pretty serious and real. I can’t wait to get it out.

aahh: You just mentioned the few sneak previews out off ‘Falling and Flying’. ‘Just Got Started’ featuring good mate Pez is one of those, and has already received a massive response on radio play and from the heads. How would you describe the working relationship between you and Pez?
360: Me and Pez have a great chemistry when we write together, we always bring out the best in each other lyrically. If I have any trouble with anything he will usually have an idea or vice versa. We work really well. Glad ‘Just Got Started’ is having such a good response, it’s just a party feel good kinda track.

aahh: Will we see a Forthwrite follow-up? I’m guessing Pez is working hard on his LP as we speak?
360: Yeah Pez is going hard on his next record, but we definitely have plans to do a Forthwrite album. It’s all about timing though, we want that shit to be epic as fuck.

aahh: The track ‘Boys Like You’ another preview from ‘Falling and Flying’ has been described by yourself as one of the most personal tracks you’ve done on the album and in general. How does it sit with you being so open on a track?
360: I think when I write personal and honest music that when I shine, and that’s the angle I’ve taken with this new album. It’s all real. It’s a bit tough being so personal and so open in my music, cos people will judge (rightfully so) me before meeting me etc. If I’m being honest though, I don’t know what else I can do.

aahh: Styalz Fuego has produced majority of the new album, was Styalz the perfect producer in your mind for this ‘Falling and Flying’?
360: Yeah he’s great, he has had a lot of style changes over the years. He is at a stage now where he does almost anything and everything, from pop records, to RnB, to house, electro, dubstep, hip hop, whatever, he does it all. Stylaz is killer at making a lot of dubstep or electro shit, which I love as well as some really great hip hop tracks too. He can write melody’s really well also.

aahh: Rappertag, give us your thoughts?
360: I think rappertag is one of the most positives things to happen to the Australian Hip Hop scene period. It sounds kind of corny to describe it like this, but its sort of unified the scene and brought everyone together. It wasnt about one particular style of rapper sticking to their own, it was whoever. It’s been great we’ve had all extremes. I love it.

aahh: One of the main criticisms we’ve heard regarding your first release ‘What You See Is What You Get’, was that your singing wasn’t at the level it could have been. Have you worked on this aspect further for ‘Falling And Flying’?
360: Yeah I have, I think I know when I sound good singing and when I don’t. I still push it a little on this album but I think it sounds dope. I aint trying to sing like Daniel Merriweather or anything like that. I wish I could but I have my limits vocally haha.

aahh: You’ve been given a lot of praise for your battling skills and originality in this area. Will you continue to battle in the future or will you concentrate your efforts more in the studio?
360: Yeah I love battling, it’s a lot of fun and it’s amazing exposure. I wouldn’t have the fans I have today if it wasnt for battling, the Keynote battle especially. I have no plans to stop, I guess as the profile raises I will be extra picky about who I battle. I’m an easy as fuck target in the battle scene. It’s easy to get personal on someone you know a lot about but its hard for me to go at someone I really know nothing about, all I have to go by is their physical appearance. So it will be mainly international battles or some extra special shit. I have no intentions of stopping though.

aahh: Greeley V 360: A battle a lot of people have been looking forward to. What was your take on the events of the night?
360: I thought the battle was great. One of the best in the country no doubt, Greelz has been putting in major work, battling constantly. I think the decision will always be disputed. The events of the night were sick. Ilyak vs Jaylegend was another classic. Crazy bars.

aahh: Greeley referred to an earlier Hilltop Hoods diss in that battle. Did you want to tell us what that was all about?
360: When I was younger I was a little egotistical smart ass. I ran my mouth about A LOT of people in the scene. I jumped up at a gig once and spat a line about The Hoods, copped a lot of shit from it also. I was just your typical dumb cunt with tall poppy syndrome. It’s been squashed now and all is good. I’ve learnt very well from it.

aahh: 2010 has been a big year for yourself, there’s been numerous tours, go-kart accidents, rappertag and also mixtape releases. What’s was your personal highlight from 2010?
360: My highlight of the year was probably the Illy tour and playing to a packed out Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne, the shit was epic. I fiend for a loose, big crowd and we got it. That tour was crazy fun.

aahh: Hip Hop in Australia is ever evolving and changing, how do you see hip hop in Australia at the moment?
360: Hip Hop in Australia is at a really pivotal stage. It’s got artists coming through now who are easily good enough to have massive international success. I love it, everyone’s upping their game big time. I predict the next 4-5 years to be huge for Australian Hip Hop. I think it’ll be the number 1 genre in the country and I reckon we’ll see some massive success in Europe and the United States.

aahh: It was announced recently that you will be flying over to Los Angeles to battle emcee Rone on Grindtime Feb 5th. How will you prepare for this battle?
360: I’m under the pump hard as at the moment, in the studio all day everyday, so I am slowly getting my shit together. It’s gonna be one of those last-minute things, but I think it will be classic. Dude is a beast and we both have similar senses of humour. It’ll be funny as.
