Homegrown 2 – Adelaide (Oct. 21)

HQ’s celebration of the local hip hop scene returns with a line up featuring some of Australia’s finest. The event will also see the return to Adelaide for hip hop legends Def Wish Cast.


Def Wish Cast return with the banger Dun Proppa, the first single from their upcoming album Evolution Machine. Also featuring on the night are Sydney’s Horrorshow, and Adelaide’s Dialect & Despair. The Tongue, who is currently on his national The Sextape tour will also be in Adelaide to share his sexual secrets on stage. Jjoining this already massive line up is none other than your rappers favourite rapper Mantra, who just released his Speaking Volumes LP, and prepares to drop a massive video clip for his second single Voodoo Music.

Another two hip hop giants set to grace the stage at Homegrown 2 is Adelaide’s very own Delta & Staen 1. Delta’s third LP Pyramid Schemes is due very soon, stay tuned for more details on that one. Premiere Entertainment are pleased to announce the line up for a new series of  hip hop shows beginning at this years Adelaide Fringe Festival.
This all local talent show brings together many of the heavyweights within Hip Hop in South Australia.

SUMMER JAM 2011, will feature live performances by, Rhyse Marks – Beatboxing, DJ Sanchez, Social Change, DJ Motion, Mase & Mattic, Pagen Elypsis, Dialect & Despair and more. This massive night will be hosted by none other than K21.
Tickets for’ SUMMER JAM 2011 are on sale now thru, Fringtix.. $25 plus booking fee.

SUMMER JAM 2011 will be a annual event with details of WINTER JAM to be released in late March.





Pagen Elypsis among headliners for Elizapalooza this Saturday [ADL]

The northern suburbs festival Elizapalooza returns for its third year with Poetikool Justice and Pagen Elypsis among the headliners for the event at the Northern Sound System, this Saturday January 15 that will feature an indoor and outdoor stage with live music, as well as a chill out room featuring DJs.

Unlike previous years, the 2011 installment of Elizapalooza features a South Australian-only line-up of music across the rock, electro, hip hop, punk, metal and pop spectrums, as festival organiser PJ Murton explains.
“Adelaide has one of the richest sources of contemporary music in Australia, you just need to look at this line-up too see how alive South Australian music really is,”
the former manager of the Hilltop Hoods explains.

“Elizapalooza has changed direction this year, it is all about supporting our biggest names in music and encouraging the newer bands, while also ensuring that the fans get the biggest bang for their buck, at only $15 a ticket, which equates to about 50 cents for each band you see on the day. Elizapalooza is connecting Adelaide audiences with music in a safe, cheap and friendly environment.”

Elizapalooza will be held at the Northern Sound System (Elizabeth) on this Saturday from 1pm to 11.30pm. Tickets are $15 for the licensed and all-ages event and are available from VenueTix.

Decked Out TV

There has been a few changes to the line up schedule for Decked Out TV. Due to a lack of funding, they guys have decided to run 3 live shows instead of 5, and put all our headline act’s on the 3.

On the last show we saw Mystro headline with the Indigenous Intrudaz. Below you can check out some of the Decked Out TV highlights plus the promo vid.

The next show penciled in for April 9, will feature some of Queensland’s finest. On the line up we have DJ Sanchez (SA), PJ, Pure Product, Sneaky T, Rainman and DJ Butcher, The Winnie Coopers and headlining, The Optimen.

Decked Out TV is a Brisbane based Hip Hop show featuring all elements of hip hop.
Ever week the guys plan to capture Hip Hop in its current form, from emceeing to break dance, freestyle battles and even graffiti features. We want to give ‘our’ culture a voice.
So far the guys have filmed the likes of Phrase, Snob Scrilla, Ciecmate & Newsense, Kings Konnected and many more.

Filming nights will be in front of a live audience at the Jubilee Hotel in Brisbane. If you want to come down and get involved make sure you get there for one of these dates.

Pagen Elypsis 2010 Mixtape features 100% original production by Strange Notes, Purpose & Answer and is mixed by the almighty Battlehoggs crew! Cuts by DJ Kansel + DJ Snair. This is an Official Battlehoggs release. Track 5 taken from the forthcoming debut Pagen Elypsis album “One Way Ticket” dropping mid next year, the crew will also be performing tracks from the mixtape at Double or Nothing 7.
