360: Breakthrough Artist of 2012

13 08 2012

It’s been a big 365 days for homegrown hip-hop star 360. Since releasing his debut album Falling & Flying in September last year, Matt Colwell has reached platinum plus status, remaining comfortably in the official ARIA Top 50 chart for 44 weeks! He has landed the headlining slots at various summer festivals and has just released his new single and video clip for Run Alone.

As a huge thank you to his legions of fans for their ongoing support so far, 360 will release a brand new unreleased track Please Forgive Me plus four new live recordings as part of the Falling & Flying Platinum Edition on Friday August 24. Sixty has also been announced as the headline Australian act playing the Pyramid Rock Festival on NYE and the acclaimed Big Day Out Festival circuit in January 2013. Before these shows, 360 will also be performing at the Fat As Butter Festival in September, Gold Coast 600’s after race concert in October and Canberra’s Foreshore Festival in late November, so there’s plenty of chances for you to see him live in action!

360 TOUR DATES:
Saturday 22 September – Fat As Butter Festival, Newcastle NSW
Friday 19 October – Gold Coast 600′s after race concert, Gold Coast QLD
Saturday 24 November – Foreshore Festival, Canberra ACT

Thundamentals – Calm In The Chaos (Master Of Ribongia Remix)

3 05 2012

After releasing their sophomore album Foreverlution, Thundamentals have been no strangers to the road, raising roofs and causing hangovers where ever they go. They’ve toured with Outkast’s Big Boi, ARIA Award winning and #1 Album Hip Hop artist Drapht, a slew of festivals including their show stopping NYE performance at Peats Ridge and their own massive headline tour.

Thundamentals have just completed the end of their 5th lap around the country in less than 9 months with Australian legends The Herd on their 1000 Lives Tour, which also saw supports from newly signed Elefant Traks artist Sky’high. In celebration, Thundamentals have released a free download through their monthly newsletter. The track Calm In The Chaos is lifted from Foreverloution and has been remixed by Master Of Ribongia

Thundamentals 2011 Wrap Up

13 01 2012

To much anticipation, Foreverlution hit store shelves in July and Thundacats responding instantly taking the band into the ARIA and AIR charts for the first time ever. Debuting at #3 on the AIR Charts, #17 on the ARIA Urban Charts + #19 on the ARIA Australian Charts. It’s first single Paint The Town Red was already getting a pasting on airwaves across the country with their 2nd How You Been? also being added to triple j rotation.

The critics responded in kind with the fans praising the album for its immaculate production and international sound. Soon after its release Thundamentals hit the road for what was to be an onslaught of touring, first with Outkast’s Big Boi in August, then with Drapht + Muph & Plutonic throughout September + October and finally for their own Foreverlution tour in November to massive crowds including a sold out Sydney show at Oxford Art Factory, all up playing to thousands of Hip Hop fans in the space of a few short months.

There is little rest in sight for Thundamentals as they step up to festival stages over summer, already slated to appear at Pyramid Rock Festival, Peats Ridge Festival and Corinbank Festival. That’s not even the end of it, they have just announce they are heading out for another massive tour with The Herd (Elefant Traks) in March + April of 2012. So when 2011 drew to an end, there is little disputing Thundamentals are one of the most in demand live hip hop acts in the country. How You Been? feat. Jace Excell is the 2nd single from Thundamentals sophomore album Foreverlution released 29.07.2011 through Obese Records.
