Urthboy update – New Merch/Musical Tee’s

To coincide with the start of the Spitshine tour, Urthboy has unleashed a new range of merch. This stylish set of merch comes with 3 T-shirts, and also that ever needed summer accessory the trusty old stubby holder. The t-shirts are available in 3 designs 2 for the lads, and one for the lasses. All shirts have the option of being musical tee’s, these are t-shirts with a special card containing the code for high quality Spitshine album download (with Bonus track).

In related tour news Urthboy is releasing a limited edition CD only available at the Spitshine tour. The CD Features a Plutonic Lab remix of We Get Around, unreleased tunes and the recent acoustic Ready to Go version and London Calling cover that we did for Triple J’s ‘Like a Version’. If you heard the acoustic version of Ready to Go, you know this is a must have.

Spitshine Tour Details

From late September to mid November Urthboy embarks on his biggest tour to date, teaming up with wonderkids Horrorshow to launch their brand new records at over 25 dates nationwide.

Urthboy’s hotly anticipated third album Spitshine (hitting shelves August 28) has already generated a huge buzz: most downloaded song on Triple j in 2009; soldout single launches; rotation on radio and TV. The video for current single Ready to Go is an LED light inspired slice of adrenalin hip hop. The energetic and theatrical live show involves Elgusto (Hermitude) and Jane Tyrrell.

Horrorshow have experienced a rapid but organic rise in 12 short months, with their invigorating debut The Grey Space capturing a national following. Their second album, Inside Story, is set to dramatically swell their fanbase when it drops on Oct 2. Opening the Spitshine Tour is Melbourne’s Polo Club (Triple j Unearthed/MTV Kickstart winners).

Urthboy – Ready To Go

Ok Urthboy fans, we are drawing closer the release of Spitshine (August 14), while we all have to wait for the full album, the second single Ready to Go is about to drop. Produced by Count Bounce and featuring the vox of Nat Dunn and Jane Tyrrell, Ready To Go is hectic and a sharp detour off the vibe of the first single Hellsong.

The song will be released on iTunes on July 17. The single features 2 exclusive remixes of Hellsong courtesy of Tony Buchen and DJ Joyride.
The Ready To Go clip is out very soon, stay tuned.

Urthboy – Ready To Go

The next release available from the Elefant Traks stable is off Urthboy’s forthcoming album Spitshine, which is scheduled to drop August 14; the second single Ready to Go has just hit the radio waves (Home & Hosed JJJ, June 29) and will be released digitally on July 17. The track features Nat Dunn and according to Urthboy’s twitter, the lads are filming the video shoot for the film clip later tonight. Be sure to head over to Urthies website to grab yourself a free copy of the lead single, Hellsong.
