Converse Australia recently announced the first ever Australian Sneakers Clash Wall in Fremantle, part of a series of artistic installations across the world. Designed to disrupt and clash against a grey world, Sneakers Clash Wall is directly inspired by the bold and colourful creative spirit of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 sneaker.
Submissions were thrown open to the public, who used the hashtag #sneakersclashfreo via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to submit their ideas. Submissions came in the form of words, photos, and video. The best submissions were selected and interpreted by the artists to feature permanently on the iconic Market Street building. The artist include The Yok, Sheryo and Alex Lehours.
You can check out all the photos in the gallery of the finished wall and the artist going to work. Be sure to checkout the brand new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 sneaker, available now. Photos by Michael Archer for allaussiehiphop.com.
