Hilltop Hoods get V8 ride with Todd Kelly at Clipsal 500

Todd Kelly, a big fan of the hip-hop group The Hilltop Hoods, was excited to take emcee Pressure and DJ Debris for some hot laps around the Adelaide street circuit, shortly before the pair were to join fellow band member Suffa on-stage in the Friday evening concert at the Clipsal 500. The ARIA-award winning group, who have two previous Australian number one albums to their credit, are also keen motor sport fans and were understandably thrilled following their rides. The Funkoars, Lowrider and The Midnight Juggernauts also played on the night, with thousands of fans packing out the Clipsal track in anticipation of one spectacular event. Hoods and Funkoars at Clipsal 500

Hilltop Hoods have answered the call and will headline a 2010 Clipsal 500 concert held in Adelaide. The Adelaide trio will be the main attraction at Clipsal’s March 12 show, supported by Golden Era stable mates,  The Funkoars and fellow Adelaidian’s, Lowrider. Last Thursday night saw the first Kick Kick Snare Producer Battle in Adelaide,some of the finest established and up and coming producers that Adelaide has to offer performed on the night. Revolver MC Championship 2009 results

The 11th annual Revolver MC Championship was held last week on Thursday 16th  September. Melbourne MCs, as well as a few from interstate who made the trip to enter the competition battled it out for the grand prize valued at over $8000. Local Defron was victorious with a unanimous decision form the judges. He beat Illuminate to the prize, who was also the 2008 runner up.  Crowd favourite, with a prize pack valued at $1000 was awarded to Gabi from Sydney. Sketch The Rhyme

As a part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, running from September 23, till October 11 hip hop will meet visual art in a theatrical improvised performance. This is a collaboration of artists, rappers and musicians where the audience is as much a part of the show as the performers. Artists sketch on paper which is filmed and projected live.
