Melbourne-based Indie Cooking Vinyl Australia (the local office of esteemed UK label Cooking Vinyl) is proud to announce a newly formed partnership with Platinum selling Australian artist, Kate Miller-Heidke, to release her fourth studio and first independent album,’O Vertigo!’ on March 14, 2014.
‘O Vertigo!’ is Miller-Heidke’s first independent release and was successfully launched in September via a crowd funding campaign on Pledge Music.
Under the terms of the agreement, Miller-Heidke will enjoy 100% creative control with Cooking Vinyl Australia overseeing all label services including marketing, PR, project management and distribution throughout Australia and New Zealand. Cooking Vinyl UK will handle the release of ‘O Vertigo!’ in UK, Europe and Asia.
‘O Vertigo!’ was recorded during October-November 2013 in Melbourne. It was produced and engineered by John Castle, and mixed by Cenzo Townshend. It includes guest appearances from several noted Australian artists including Megan Washington with more to be announced.
