Fishing Unleash First Taste of Debut Album Chi Glow

Sydney electronic act Fishing have unveiled a brand new track Chi Glow. Mixing layered synth sounds with a refined, super chill, hip-hop flow and cues from jazz slow burn, Chi Glow came to life from the US of Chicago.

“The light pollution from the city coloured everything and made the sky hazy” muses Fishing, “so it’s just about that and walking home in this vivid, suspended nighttime.” The track also features the vocals of Marcus Whale from Adelaide duo Collarbones.

Lifted from their forthcoming debut album Shy Glow the duo describes the LP as an eclectic delight that never holds on to any one idea for too long. It uses sample based and synthesized sounds to dip into hip hop, club, and pop, crafting genre defying music that is at home in headphones as well as on the dancefloor.

Fishing will exclusively launch Shy Glow as part of Vivid Music on Thursday, June 5th at Sydney’s Basement. Tickets are available from Moshtix and are on sale now.
