Over the past 12 months rapper and producer duo Lane-Harry x Ike Campbell have shaken up the Australian music industry to a whole new level. After releasing their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Love & Terror Cult’ at the end of 2013 the 19 year olds followed the success immediately with the release of a mixtape titled ‘DMT’ which gained the attention of fans worldwide including Lorde, 360, Matt Corby & Chet Faker.
When they’re not feuding with Melbourne rapper Allday, they’re either headlining packed out shows or supporting some of the biggest names in the industry – all while working on their sophomore album ‘Renaissance’ due out in early 2015 with local label Human Records, which is set to be a standout release from their careers. The duo have shown the growth in their sound on this record, talking about world issues such as terrorism, religion and disease along with problems closer to home like drug addiction, the government and the death of Charlotte Dawson.
The first single from the album is ‘Anarchy’. With Ike Campbell’s hard hitting instrumental, Lane-Harry’s thought provoking lyrics, Guy Cooper’s precise production, live orchestration & a powerful Scott Dalton vocal chorus… Anarchy is set to be one of the biggest Australian hip-hop songs of the year accompanied by their cinematic new video for ‘Anarchy’ which has premiered on Channel [V].
Not only are the duo breaking into new territory with their ever-evolving sound and cinematic videos but their live show is an unmissable experience. They will be bringing their Anarchy tour to Sydney in January supported by Jesswar. After the Anarchy tour the Gold Coast duo will be taking their Renaissance album tour worldwide starting with Japan.
