Swilo is a fresh new artist emerging from Brisbane’s ever evolving Hip Hop scene. Bringing you a nice balance of old and new, Swilo’s musical roots draw on classic hip hop, while his delivery of smooth and clever lyrics reflect voices of here and now.
2014 has seen Swilo release a collection of tracks via his Soundcloud and the debut of several film clips including Round Round, a down tempo track boasting hypnotic grooves and an addictive melody intertwined with thought provoking lyrics and the newly released Hold It Down. The video shows off some well known locations in Yeronga and Annerley, where Swilo grew up. You will also find some amazing footage of the basketball brotherhood and multiculturalism found in his suburbs.
The new song will be a bonus track on his new street album “Kyoto Falls” set to release in January next year. The clip was directed, shot and edited by Zac Daynes and Jackson Hamilton at Autoscope. The beat was produced by Skate Bravo.
