Since releasing the “Birdz Eye View” Ep in 2013, N.T. raised rapper, Birdz has been hard at work solidifying his spot as one of the most anticipated up and coming artists in the local scene. His free-release trilogy with Supabrotha”, “All We Know” & “Forget Yours” showcased an unmatched ability to weave in and out of flows, whilst delivering empowering insight.
Working closely with renowned producers and artists such as James Mangohig and Joelistics, Birdz is steadily preparing his next project, a full length LP due late 2015. Here we have Birdz’s brand new video ‘Right To Be Wrong’ featuring Dylan Smith.
Produced by leading Australian songwriter & Hip Hop artist, Joelistics, ‘Right To Be Wrong’ is a parody of life’s temptations. Chasing the allure of the forbidden, Birdz takes us on a smooth ride over the song’s funk-driven bounce, offering an honest and somewhat satirical insight into his personal account as a proud Aboriginal Australian.
Whilst exploring new ground sonically, the Badtjala artist maintains a strong connection to his roots, a trait for which the rapper’s music is quickly becoming known. Enlisting the soulful tones of Kid Radio’s, Dylan Smith on the record’s hook, Birdz once again showcases his versatility.
This fresh angle from Birdz, coupled with Vidad Jon Narayan’s quirky direction of the song’s visual is sure to lend to the growing anticipation for the emcee’s next project due late 2015.
