Don’t Look Down features a vast array of collaborators – Paul Dempsey, Paul Kelly, 360, Arie-Elle, Kota Banks, TYS, Hailey Cramer and Raymes, with emerging beatmaker aKidCalledJay taking on a pivotal role.

The first single to be lifted from the album is the soaring ‘Calling Out’ featuring Paul Dempsey who brings his unique vocal touch to the song. Added to Triple J on high rotation, it’s a wonderful opening chapter to this challenging musical tale.

Another album highlight is ‘They Try To Tell Me’, a tongue in cheek, jaunty little track featuring 360, who by PEZ’s own account, brings a touch of lightness to proceedings – “it’s the closest thing I generally have to a banger!”

The video, from Director Jeremy Koren (Grey Ghost), features Pez and 360 in a light-hearted and humorous take on the track – complete with “mini-me” characters!

Don’t Look Down charts PEZ’s evolution. “I feel like my perspective has shifted quite a bit, just with age maybe – just maturity,” he ponders. “You start to see the world a little differently.” Above all, he’s living in the present – transcending youthful cynicism and learning not to “fixate” on hypotheticals or simply “overthink”.
