Action Bronson has just released his latest album Blue Chips 7000. This is the final installment in his legendary Blue Chips series via VICE/Atlantic. Along with the new album, Bronson has also dropped a brand new video for the Chairman’s Intent, featuring himself as a mysterious assassin who is not afraid to take down a corrupt Chinese Mob Boss and his crew of gangsters.
Directed by Rik Cordero, the entire video was shot with 70’s Kung fu film techniques (excessive violence, bizarre sound effects, fast zooming, etc) and is a spiritual sequel to one of his earlier video’s for The Symbol.
The album, which features old friends and FTD regulars Big Body Bes, Meyhem Lauren along with Rick Ross and production from The Alchemist, Harry Fraud and Party Supplies, is the first project since his major label debut Mr. Wonderful. Action Bronson might be the hardest person working in rap with 2 TV shows (Fuck, That’s Delicious + Traveling The Stars: Ancient Aliens) and a debut cookbook on the way.
The book, with a forward from celebrity chef, friend, and food industry mogul Mario Batali, is due out September 12th via Abrams Books. Co-written by Rachel Wharton and entitled F*ck, That’s Delicious, An Annotated Guide To Eating Well the book compiles 40 recipes inspired by Action’s childhood, family, tours and travel.
The new album is out now via all of the usual places. Streams are also up on Spotify and YouTube.
