Sampa The Great Signs To Big Dada And Releases New Single ‘Rhymes To The East’, Ahead Of Her European Tour Which Features A Run Of Uk Shows With Joey Bada$$

Equal parts songwriter, poet, singer and lyricist, ‘Rhymes To The East’ is Sampa The Great’s first new music to be released via Big Dada. Recorded in one take – “It was a stand out track to me and one of the strongest lyrics I have captured to date,” she explains. “As soon as I heard this beat, I knew exactly what I wanted to say. I was immediately transported to the East.”

First appearing by way of 2015’s “The Great Mixtape” – described by OkayPlayer as “an adventurous young mind pushing out against all boundaries” – Sampa The Great’s music has piqued the global interests of the likes of Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Complex and Noisey.

Following live shows in support of Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat and Hiatus Kaiyote, Sampa has also announced her upcoming European headline tour, plus a run of shows in support of Joey Bada$$.
