Joey Snow Remixes Lil Pump’s Gucci Gang and is instant viral sensation

JOEY SNOW has built an online following through his crass yet inventive videos, providing both entertainment and at times, an education. It’s fair to say that 2017 was the year of ‘Gucci Gang’, and having been entranced from its very first play, Snow set out to do a remix of his own.

“When I saw the video for the first time I was instantly excited; I watched it two or three times in a row. I couldn’t believe that someone so young was influencing me so much,” Snow said.

With a very Aussie take on the hit track, Snow has gifted the Internet with ‘Flanny Gang’, a very insightful look at Bogan Australia.

“It started out as a joke on Snapchat one night, but there I was the next day spending money on a new mic and learning how to mix my own music. I’ve tried to make some of the lyrics relatable to anyone from Australia. I find it hard not to be rude in almost anything I write, and this is no different – anything from drinking tinnies to throwing snags on the BBQ; it’s all in there,” he said.

The remix was released with an accompanying music video and has already clocked over 386,000 views. You may also be surprised at who his #1 fan is.

“So far the response has been pretty positive. I think my Dad even has the top comment on the video so I’ve made the big guy proud,” he said.

For a homemade video, a lot of thought went into the conceptualisation and execution of this work of art, recruiting mates and Instagram babes to jump on board. Snow was then very involved on set and made sure everyone was having a good time.

“I approached my buddy Sean who I’d shot some of my own projects with in the past. Quite soon I realised that my vision was a little bigger than I’d originally planned, so I grabbed some other lads from work to help out. I also poached some hot babes I was following on Instagram and tried bringing the whole family together,” he said.

Joey Snow has been rapping since he was 14 years old and looks up to artists like The Game, Gucci Mane, Machine Gun Kelly, Hopsin, Yelawolf, XXXTentacion, 21 Savage, Lil Pump, and The Chats. To keep up to date with everything Joey Snow, head here
