Bag Raiders, Goodwill and AJAX have all trundled on down to Adelaide to play Carlton Dry’s series of free shows, Carlton Dry Industry Nights. With other acts such as Bluejuice, Gypsy & the Cat, Miami Horror and more playing around the country, Carlton Dry have proven that they’re not booking a half-assed marketing campaign; they’re in it for the long haul.
The next round of nights has been announced today, and features Bag Raiders for Perth (June 13) and the Gold Coast (May 30th), and Drapht for Adelaide (May 23rd) and Geelong (June 6th). Previous installments have all proven a massive success, with the nights aimed at giving those who work in hospitality their own weekend, on a Monday night. For more information or to RSVP for the guest list, visit the Thank God It’s Monday Facebook Page.
Drapht is still currently on tour with his The Life Of Riley tour. With only 3 dates remaining and all of them in WA ,the Carlton Dry Industry nights may be your last chance to catch Drapht for sometime. Here’s what Drapht had to say on the whole situation.
Drapht: “Back home now, and half way through the tour! But while I was on tour, I got the news that ‘The Life of Riley’ had come in at number one on the ARIA charts!!!!!! I can not express the amount of gratitude I have, to you, the people that made the first half of the tour, and this huge album accolade a possibility. And an extremely successful one at that. From the old fans that have been there from day one, to the new fans that have just stumbled across my music, I whole heartedly can not thank you all enough for all your support, I really do appreciate it!“
