TZU introduce their new single, Beginning of the End their finest, seamlessly merging musical genres and sounds, whilst tackling current global issues head on to create a glorious alternative pop statement. It follows the story of a man who time travels into the future and sees the effects of mankind’s destruction of the Earth – the literal End of the World.
‘If you’re going to write a song about the end of the world, you want to make it as grand and amazing a tribute to the entire species and all of history (as you can)”, says singer and writer Joel Ma of the tune. And grand Beginning of the End certainly is, complete with a horn section AND a choir! The single is taken from the bands’ fourth studio album, which will be released in the second half of 2012. The new album will see TZU delve further into the electronic direction they explored on Computer Love and ensure they stay two steps ahead of the rapidly expanding pack.
Their last album, the bulk-ace Computer Love was a triple j feature and saw them nominated for the AMP shortlist, the J Award Album of the Year, and an APRA for Best Hip-Hop Artist.
TZU have also just announced an extensive national tour that will see them showcasing new material along with many TZU classics, throughout May and June. No strangers to the touring arena, TZU always deliver live, and have played all of the major Australian music festivals over the years, including Falls, Meredith, Big Day Out and Pyramid Rock to name but a few.
