Celedora are a two man hip-hop outfit consisting of 22 year old Rudz as Producer/ DJ and 21 year old Smackie as Emcee/Producer. Originally, the pair hail from Adelaide, South Australia where they went to high school together.
Recent work commitments has seen the duo separated; with Smackie moving to Townsville, Queensland. However, this has done little to stem the flow of creativity and composition as they collaborate cross-country. Celedora recently released their first project titled Cut Your Teeth EP; a four track snapshot of their musical creation since inception, 12 months ago. It features all original production by the pair and is entirely engineered/mastered by Rudz. It focuses on themes of entering responsible adulthood and the challenges faced in creating their first musical release.
A few of Celedora’s key musical influences include: Aesop Rock, El-P, Sage Francis, The Heavy, Atmosphere, Funkoars , Cage, Aloe Blacc, Ash Grunwald, Brother Ali, Flobots, Nas, Naughty By Nature and Wu-Tang Clan. Celedora is working on it’s debut album, due to be released in early 2014.
