Often an artists biography is full of buzz-words, wildly sweeping statements & unabashed claims of influencing a generation or changing the face of their chosen genre. Very few can say it with the conviction and sincerity of British born lyricist & producer Jehst.
2011 saw Jehst in the spotlight with his last album The Dragon Of An Ordinary Family. The lead single Starting Over was a talking point with it’s iconic video and viral campaign, there was also an intiment album launch party which was held at London’s prestigious Fabric.
Jehst is back once again in 2013 with a brand new single, G.A.M.E.O.V.E.R. G.A.M.E.O.V.E.R. is a minimalist head-nodding “nod” to classic computer games of yesteryear with producer GhostTown (Foreign Beggars, Badness, Jam Baxter) on the console controls. Sparse synths and neck-snapping percussion lay the foundation for Jehst to stack building blocks – dropping more lines than a Tetris tournament!
G.A.M.E.O.V.E.R. was initially released as a limited edition 7″ record store day release. It is now available to buy as a digital download. Jehst has recently been announced to join Bliss N Eso + Yelawolf on BNE’s upcoming House Of Dreams National Tour. You can pick up the new single here, or by following the links below.
