Joined by Jane Tyrrell and band, Urthboy takes a different tact reworking songs from Smokey’s Haunt, The Signal and Spitshine, as well as the show-stopping Letters From Jamshed.
Taking a lead from the (stupid/hilarious/bizarre/ off-beat) tour diary blog, this recording features a 20-page booklet with Urthboy’s observations travelling around the country playing in classic Australian theatres performing rap music to a Paul Kelly crowd.
Urthboy will be supporting The Roots, Friday December 27, Horden Pavilion Sydney and also Saturday December 28, Festival Hall Melbourne. Urthboy feat. Jane Tyrrell – Live At The City Recital Hall is out now.
