Dressed To Chill featuring Pukz is the first taste from True Vibenation’s upcoming sophomore album. The song is an infectious summertime tune over a laid-back beat featuring the charismatic, fluid flows of Verbaleyes and Native Wit and ‘smooth as butter’ vocals from Sydney soul-singer Pukz, along with True Vibenation’s trademark horns played by the guys themselves.
True Vibenation are Dressed To Chill but there will be no relaxing for them in the coming months as they take to the road for the Dressed To Chill Tour while also locking down in the studio to put the finishing touches on their second album, out through Big Village Records in early 2014.
The versatile trio are known for their innovative ideas and a dynamite live show which features the band transforming into a blasting horn section as well as a self-made instrument that literally turns audience members into human drum machines. True Vibenation has had their nose to the grindstone all year and are showing no signs of slowing down. After recording their Standby Project early in 2013 the trio took to the road for what was their most successful tour yet, releasing the project by concreting USBs loaded with music into walls across the country. After completing the ambitious guerrilla art/music project True Vibenation were straight back at it and before the concrete had even dried on the USBs they returned to the studio to work on the follow-up to their first album The Sunshower Phenomenon, released through Big Village Records in October 2011.
With an ever-growing fan base, tight live show and a penchant for hard work True Vibenation are a group with a bright future in Australia’s evolving hip hop landscape.
