Sietta step sideways and out the front door slamming it shut with Agree To Disagree, an intoxicating collision of boozy, swinging chainsaw horns and that deep bottom end the duo are known for.
Another group would have used the moment of walking away from a confrontation to sketch a song of wearied frustration—Sietta capture it by amplifying the drama and fireworks, as if the heat begins once your back is turned. It’s menacing and rocking. It’s perfect.
There’s a newfound confidence and purpose to the staunch straight talk lyricism of Caiti Baker and she gives no ground while the song drives forward. Wreaking havoc on the production is, as always, her partner in bass James Mangohig.
Taken from their forthcoming album, The Invisible River. Out Feb 14, 2014.
