After over a decade of faithful service by the international Rolling Stone website, Australia now has the locally-focused Rolling Stone website it deserves. “Australian music fans are passionate about our local artists, so to be able to deliver content that sits the likes of 360 and Vance Joy alongside international artists like the Black Keys and Lana Del Rey makes perfect sense,” says Rolling Stone publisher Matt Coyte.
“We’ve been feverishly working at building a site that will take advantage of the rich breadth of news, media and reviews that we have available to us from the world of Rolling Stone.” The new adaptive, HTML 5 desktop, mobile and tablet site will feature content that will enhance the Rolling Stone magazine experience, rather than detract from it. “I see the site as being a different animal to the magazine” says Coyte. “The magazine is where you go to get long, in-depth interviews and stunning photography. The website is where you go to keep up with breaking artists and news. It will also work in bringing the magazine to life, allowing you to watch video and listen to music.”
www.rollingstoneaus.com has a new online editor, Jonny Nail. Nail brings some much-needed technical know-how to the Rolling Stone team, and will be responsible for creating local content as well as curating the best from the international network and our partners. 360 is the cover artist for this months Rolling Stone Magazine, you can check out an extract of the article here.
