We’ve been following emcee/producer Cris Gamble for a moment now, he released his debut EP around a year ago which featured Sinks, and youngster Nyuon both who have gone from strength to strength since. The new track titled Anthony James is a strong sign of evolution from this relatively new artist.

Anthony James is self produced and successfully combines a modern sound with clear boom bap influences. Cris’ trademark flow is on point, and lurches towards a more newschool style. This will be perfect for those progressive rap fans, who still need a bit of that 90s flavour. There is no word yet if this track has been lifted from an upcoming project, but we putting our money on an album announcement soon.
