Victorian non-for-profit The Push has teamed up with City of Moreland, YouthWorx Media and Amped Up Productions to put on a five-week live hip-hop/rap event to find the best up-and-comers around Melbourne.

PushIt! Cyphers will be running for one month between February 16 to March 16th across Fawkner, Glenroy, Pascoe Vale, Brunswick and Coburg. If you’re a singer, beatboxer, beat maker, rhyme writer than you want to check out PushIt! Cyphers. So what’s a cypher you ask? It’s where you take a bunch of rapper and gather in a place, form a circle and share raps live on the spot. You can spit a written verse or freestyle off the top.

To a be part of PushIt! Cyphers just attend one or all of the events. The last event will be held on the 16th of March which will feature special guests – Fresh Violet, Muma Doesa, Fevapres, Class A, Mista Monk, Emerald, Boy Graduate, Sadiva and 1/6 all at Victoria Street Mall in Coburg.

This events is for all ages. So if you are the next up and comer make sure you register, or if you know a pal that would kill at this – pass these deets on!!!
