Elefant Traks Announce A Very Special Series Of Events, Taking Their Incredible Artist Roster Across The Country To Celebrate Their 20th Birthday!

Spoilt by a diverse roster of talent and unique artistry, Elefant Traks is one of the strongest independent labels in Australia. From humble beginnings in 1998, burning CD-Rs in a grungy bedroom, Elefant Traks has blossomed into a vibrant home for a wide variety of innovative creators and artists.

The Herd constructed the foundation, while artists like Hermitude, Urthboy, Astronomy Class and Horrorshow used the platform to solidify its standing, enabling investment in exciting talent like OKENYO, Jimblah, B Wise, L-FRESH The LION and many others. Elefant Traks has always been strongest when it’s been a conduit for community spirit, inspiring innovation and artist-led creative endeavours. As a completely artist-run label, it’s part music business, part collective, and a one-of-a-kind in the Australian Industry.

Elefant Traks helped usher in a new brand of hip hop into the Australian music scene, which slowly became a staple across national radio and festival circuits and in turn, allowed the label became a beacon for aspiring hip hop and electronic artists. With a reputation for nurturing creativity, celebrating multiculturalism and encouraging innovation, the label has always aimed to continuously evolve and grow. It is this ethos that has allowed the label to continue to flourish for some many years.

Given Elefant Traks was conceived as a compilation idea, it is only natural for ET20 to call upon the vast talents on the roster, for a curated series of events bringing together the stalwarts that are responsible for its existence, through to the young artists driving its current direction. For the very first time, ET20 takes the show on the road, with events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in some of the country’s best venues.

Elefant Traks audiences have long reflected the same sense of community spirit that the artists have embodied – without them the label would’ve never endured the bumpy music industry road. Announced this morning on triple j breakfast, Elefant Traks will be celebrating 20 years in the biz this November and December by holding ET20 festivals in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. With all star lineups and many more special guests to be announced, Elefant Traks will be celebrating in the best way they can… loud, hype and surrounded by community.

ET20 Talks – The Elefant In The Room
Elefant Traks invites you to an evening of storytelling and short tales. It’ll be a sit down affair, where artists and friends of the label will be sharing stories from the tour bus, the studio, and the moments in between that are everything.

Inspired by The Moth Series and Women of Letters, The Elefant In The Room will be a very different event in the celebration of 20 years of Elefant Traks.
