Crowned both a Triple J Unearthed and MYSPACE.COM featured artist in 2009 and on the back of his first national headline tour, culminating in a packed out album launch in Sydney to more than 450 punters at the popular Oxford Art Factory, Phatchance’s debut album Inkstains has been making waves nationally. The first single and title track Inkstains received regular rotation on national youth broadcaster Triple J and proved popular on independent and community radio networks across the country – Invisible Queen is set to build on these successes. A sultry Jazz inspired beat by Californian producer DJ Hoppa (Bliss N Eso – Up Jumped The Boogie/Choof Choof Train) works as a canvas for Chance’s playful and at times biting lyrics.
The video clip for the song was shot by independent Sydney film team Heroes Of The Party, directed by Danny Giles and stars Rebecca Lee Slade (Underbelly) and Darren Moss. The tongue in cheek clip compliments the songs’ exploration of love and loneliness and pokes fun at Hollywood style portrayals of romance.
The song is available for free download from Triple J Unearthed here and will be hitting air waves in the coming weeks.
