Sydney hip hop collective the One Day Crew and The Vic Hotel proudly present the June edition of One Day Sundays, Sydney’s new monthly hip hop party held on the last Sunday of each month.
Since launching in February, One Day Sundays has quickly become one of Sydney’s most buzzed about monthly parties. The One Day Crew curates the monthly events, a hip hop collective comprised of Sydney acts Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate, Jackie Onassis and Joyride.
Between them, members of the One Day Crew have released several albums, toured extensively through Australia and Europe, played major festivals, enjoyed high rotation on triple j and been nominated for ARIA awards. 2013 has seen the One Dayers move to further develop their burgeoning brand; curating the monthly One Day Sundays events has been an important part of this process.
Each party features the resident One Day DJs – Joyride, Adit (Horrorshow) and Raph (Jackie Onassis) – as well as special guest DJs each month. So far, One Day Sundays has featured guest DJs such as: The Beatnutz (USA), Morgs (Thundamentals) and JayTee (Urthboy), as well as some of Australia’s premier street artists such as Numskull, Beastman, Seiko and Scottie Marsh.
The next instalment of One Day Sundays will be held on today, and will feature our resident One Day DJs, Joyride, Adit (Horrorshow) and Raph (Jackie Onassis). Our special guest DJ for June is Newcastle legend DJ Skoob – a 3 x NSW DMC champion and touring DJ for The Tongue. Widely regarded as one of the country’s best turntablists, Skoob has earned his reputation from years of rocking parties all over the country.
