Less than six months since publicly launching, The R.E.A.L Music Family has fast established a reputation as one of the most energetic live hip-hop acts around Melbourne. A dynamic on-stage presence and preparedness to go against the mainstream has seen the crew play alongside names including Mr Hill & Rahjconkas, Dylan Joel and more recently Suburban Dark with set material ranging anywhere from 90’s boom-bap to acapella/acoustic; even throwing in the odd electronic dance track to keep crowds on their toes.
The creative collective comprises several emcees, singers, musicians, producers and a media team – all under the age of 25 – who each contribute to the vibrant live show that is R.E.A.L Music. You can catch these guys regularly at venues across Melbourne or at their bi-monthly Brighter Days charity festivals which are held across regional Victoria.
Skinny Jean Dreams is the anthem of R.E.A.L Music prodigy Juñor, a 20 year old fast gaining a reputation as a star on the rise. Shot at several locations around Melbourne including the iconic Rampit Skate Park in Mitcham, Skinny Jean Dreams is the cry of carefree teenagers across the country rolling around half-pipes fitted with a fresh Snapback.
With BMX and Scooter trick features from Nitro Circus riders, as well as a special guest appearance from infamous personality Ricky Nixon, this clip is several months in the making and based on the recent sneak peak trailer; will be one to check out.
allaussiehiphop.com will be exclusively releasing the full Skinny Jean Dreams Music Video in the coming weeks. A re-mastered version of the track will also be found on the pending crew mixtape R.E.A.L Music Presents: Live. Write.
