SkankMC and his best mate Babashake recently drove to Darwin to play at the Bass In The Grass music festival. A 3000km* round trip to play a 20 minute set.
Film maker Brad Hapke (NT Hip Hop: The Documentary) came along for the ride to document the trip up to Darwin and back. This is the third time Skank has made the drive to Darwin to perform, a fair few kilometres to drive just to play a gig but as he spits’ in his track ‘Skank N Flim Flam‘ a song written about the original trip to Darwin* in 2012, “It’s a bloody mission but we get the applause.”
SkankMC and Babashake are currently creating an LP titled The Long Road Ahead. The instrumental music featured in the film is taken from the introduction to the album plus their unreleased songs ‘The Long Road Ahead,’ ‘Moleskin’ and ‘Move On Up.’ The LP will be exclusively produced by Babashake. SkankMC and Babashake are creating something special, living together in remote Central Australia, the two have only one plan; to move forward along The Long Road Ahead.
Single release date to be announced soon.
