“We really just thought about what it was like when we were younger: late nights, walking to and from parties, service station runs and just hanging out wherever, the plan was to capture all of those moments and put them together into a music video.”
Manu has been fairly busy over the past month or so releasing tracks with Lili Kendall and also Joy! You can peep both of these tracks by heading to Manu Crook$ soundcloud page here.
Although based in Sydney, Manu Crooks has a definitively international sound. His newest genre-bending single “Blowin’ Up” perfectly showcases that Manu is breaking traditional hip hop structure of his predecessors by revealing an exciting and interesting new soundscape.
His breakout single “Everyday” was immediately added to Australian radio station Triple J while his follow up release “Blowin’ Up” was organically picked up by Zane Lowe for his Beats One program. With his debut EP (produced by Miracle and Dopamine) to be released in early 2017, Manu is set to make a serious splash in the international hip hop pool.
