Vince Staples Highly Anticipated New Album, Big Fish Theory, Arriving June 23rd

Blacksmith/ARTium/Def Jam Recordings artist Vince Staples has set a June 23rd release date for his eagerly anticipated second album, Big Fish Theory, containing unanimously hailed track “BagBak” and new single “Big Fish”.

Big Fish Theory is the long-awaited follow-up to Summertime ’06, Vince’s universally praised debut album of 2015. The monster 20-track long-player was called “a modern gangster rap classic” (New York Times) and cemented Vince’s status as one of music’s most creative young MCs. In August 2016 he released the critically celebrated seven-track EP, Prima Donna, with a ten-minute short film directed by Nabil Elderkin.

Vince recently wrapped up The Life Aquatic Tour of the U.S. & Canada. This was the first major headlining North American tour of his career; Life Aquatic was also the first time that Vince toured material from Prima Donna. The 8-week tour with Brooklyn’s Kilo Kish in support (she is featured on Prima Donna’s “Loco”) racked up advance sell-outs in major markets including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago (2 nights), Boston and Philadelphia.
