Canberra Artist Kirklandd Releases New Single, ‘Faded’

Following a string of single releases and his 2016 headline tour, Canberra artist Kirklandd has just announced the release of ‘Faded’, the second single from his upcoming debut EP.

Led by production from renowned Australian producer Cam Bluff (Amy Shark, Allday), Faded is an alternative take on the new wave of hip hop emerging in Australia, blurring genre boundaries to offer a unique sound from Canberra’s rapidly emerging music scene. Showcasing Kirklandd’s distinct rapid-fire flow and anthemic melodies, Faded combines hard hitting 808s, soulful vocal samples and seven live-tracked electric guitars:

“Faded is an intricate, hyped trap anthem. It blends conventional trap elements with live instrumentation, making for a unique blend in style… think Travis Scott meets Tame Impala” – Kirklandd

After teasing the track at his recent shows opening for Seth Sentry, Dylan Joel and Citizen Kay, Kirklandd has just announced a 3-date headline tour of Faded with his live band:
The Faded Tour – Presented by Oxfam
30th November: Oxford Art Factory: Gallery Bar, Sydney
7th December: Boney, Melbourne
9th December: Transit Bar, Canberra

Faded is the second track from Kirklandd’s debut EP, due for release in April 2018.
