ILLY – Props and album launch

   You may have already seen this as Obese Records posted it on their Twitter account. It seems Illy’s new album, Long Story Short, has been well received by the aussie hip hop public and for quite a good reason. The album is banger, The Mercury Newspaper did a review, which you check out here. TripleJDools also gave it the thumbs up, could we see Scott Dooley return to the mike for another guest apperance? With the almighty Social Change due to drop their full length album this year, big things are on the horizon, for them, and their label Butterthief Records. Established by Funkwig and Social Change, Butterthief has grown into a strong collective of musicians, DJ’s, producers and emcees. With two huge release’s dropping yesterday and a massive concert from Bliss n Eso at Festival Hall, it surely was the biggest day on the hip hop calendar this year.
